Jim Nash and Maddie Spence finally tie the knot in the Boyle’s back yard. After the small ceremony is concluded, they jet off to Florence, Italy, for the beginning of their month-long honeymoon. Unbeknownst to Jim, his bride has plans for one last stop in Málaga, Spain, before they fly home. She has arranged for a huge dinner for their new friends, Harry Delaney and Mike Williams and their families.
During the celebration, Harry informs Maddie that he has a flight into Djibouti the next day. Since learning about Harry’s base in Djibouti, Maddie has wanted to visit the North African city. She convinces Jim it will be an adventure of a lifetime.
Little does Maddie know that the blowing desert sand has telegraphed their arrival in Djibouti. When she realizes Jim has gone missing when he stepped out to pick up their rental car, the first phone call she makes is to Luz back home to ask for her help.

Frank Ross is back on the road, holed up in a taverna somewhere on the Texas panhandle. He’s hoping to evade a John Law who picked up on him while he was riding through a small town. Frank pulled into the taverna’s back parking lot, out of sight and out of mind – except he wasn’t. He didn’t even have time for a pull on his Lone Star before the Sheriff walked in through that same back door. It’s all good, though. The Sheriff departs, satisfied Frank might be one of the good ones.
Jim Nash is back down Mexico way, and he’s not happy about it. That could be because he’s helping a friend track down a cold-blooded killer who also happens to be the woman’s daughter. It might be because he’s KOS-Kill On Sight-thanks to a narrow escape from cartel sicarios a number of years ago. Or, it might be because he’s dipped his fingers once again in stolen cartel cash, and he’s anxious to get home.
